- Your school sets up each field containing student information. If your secretaries need room for more information or the state mandates you track another piece of data, you can add a new field.

- You can customize access for any user that needs access to student data or enters data for students. For Example:
- Create a profile for nurses so that nurses can view a student's parent data (to call a sick student's parents or emergency contacts.) and add information to a medical screen (a screen you setup for the nurses).

Maintaining accurate and verifiable attendance for state reporting has never been easier. Additionally, your attendance secretaries will love how much time they save calling home for each absent student. - No more paper attendance. Teachers take attendance on their computer through a web-browser.
- Teachers can view student photos from the Take Attendance screen by moving the cursor over a student's name.
- Attendance is real-time. As soon as teachers take attendance, secretaries in the attendance office can see which students were absent.
- MOS-SIS supports both daily and period-by-period attendance.
- System administrators define the attendance codes, so schools can keep track of many different types of absences and tardies.
- Attendance secretaries have convenient access to all contact information for a student simply by moving the cursor over the phone icon in the list of absent students.
- Attendance secretaries can change the attendance from the daily calling list (also called Attendance Administration).
- Absences can be added en mass to a group of students. This makes it simple for secretaries to add the absences for a class going on a field trip or a team leaving school early for a sporting event.

- Courses are divided into weights, so certain classes can be weighted more or less than others.
- A teacher can teach more than one course on any period.
- Two classes can take place in the same room.
- Classes can have set limits on:

- Gender

- Classes can be excluded from attendance, grading, and GPA.
